Job Purpose

The Recruitment Consultant is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruitment Consultant will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans

  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting assignments
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Develop assignment specific marketing plans using appropriate media sources
  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
  • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.

Network Through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups and Employees

  • Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
  • Aid Holcim in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport and source new candidate leads.
  • Create contacts within industry.
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

  • Establishes strong working relationships with agencies
  • Develops strong working relationships with business unit managers and provides specialist advice as required

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Conduct prescreening interviews.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Recruitment Database
  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.
  • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite.
  • Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.
  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.
  • Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters.
  • Modelling a commitment to Zero Harm and Holcim Australia's safety and environment policies, principles and procedures.
  • Ensuring the accurate reporting and recording of all health and safety incidents, near hits or hazards in a timely fashion using company procedures and systems.
  • Participating in regular housekeeping and Health and Safety meetings at your site.
  • Ensuring you have completed all relevant health and safety training.
  • Duties may be varied from time to time consistent with the employee’s training and skills and such varied duties are to be performed to standards that will be specified as required.

Qualification requirements

Tertiary Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualified

Minimum Work experience

  • 3+ years in a dedicated recruitment role either in-house or a Recruitment agency

Computer skills

  • High level of skill using MS Office
  • Experienced in using Recruitment Databases

Other requirements

  • Experienced in using social media and search methodologies
